President and Principal Designer
Joseph Minton, ASID, TAID

FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS, Joseph Minton has been transforming clients’ dreams into reality, designing and developing high-end, elevated spaces that effortlessly blend tradition with contemporary styling.
His medium is as expansive as his style — his projects range from beach homes on Mission Beach and Sea Island to Nob Hill penthouses; from Park Avenue apartments to log cabins on the Taylor River, Snake River and in Aspen. Joe’s work has been featured more than a dozen times in Architectural Digest, and numerous times in other publications, including Southern Accents, Veranda, House Beautiful, Town & Country and Traditional Homes.
Among his many awards and accolades, Joe was listed in “The AD 100: An Exclusive Guide to the World’s Finest Interior Designers,” and “Town & Country‘s Guide to the Top 55 Decorators in the U.S.” In 1996, Joe was awarded the prestigious ASID Designer of Distinction Award for lifetime achievement. He was selected in 2009 to style Southern Accents’ ultimate annual showhouse. And in 2017 he was recognized with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art’s John Staub Lifetime Achievement Award.
Joe received his bachelor’s from the College of William and Mary, a J.D. from Southern Methodist University, and worked for several years as a City Attorney for the city of Fort Worth. As 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, he served as Personnel Officer in England for several years. Living abroad sparked a craving for European antiques, collectibles and design. In the early ‘70s, Joe formed his first interior design business with David Corley. The birth of Minton-Corley began the design legacy of Joseph Minton, which has been a prominent influence in the southwest for more than fifty years and continues to thrive and evolve.
Joe founded the Joseph Minton, Inc. interior design firm, launched the Minton-Corley Collection of fine European-inspired furniture, and established Joseph Minton Antiques, a collection of period English and Continental antiquities.
Joe is a member of ASID, TAID, and is registered with the American Institute of Architects. He is also a board member of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
